The difference between submersible pumps for sand removal and other impurity pumps

As a general-purpose machinery, pumps have a wide range of applications. With the development and evolution of water pumps, various types of water have emerged
There are various names for pumps, and the names and classifications of these pumps are different in various pump books.
Therefore, it causes trouble for product application and promotion. Generally speaking, according to the principle of drainage, water pumps can be divided into:
1. Vane pumps such as centrifugal pumps, mixed flow pumps, axial flow pumps, and swirl pumps;
2. Positive displacement pumps such as plunger pumps, gear pumps, screw pumps, etc;
3. Other types such as jet pumps, water hammer pumps, etc.
The vane pump can be divided into horizontal and vertical types according to its structural form (shaft position); According to their working positions, they can be divided into submersible pumps and above ground pumps.

slurry pumps, Mud Pumps, sand (sand) pumps, and sand discharge submersible pumps are all named according to the functional purpose of the water pump and belong to impurity pumps.

Mud pump (also called sewage pump)

Vertical centrifugal pump structure, with the motor on the water surface and the pump underwater, connected by a long shaft. Mainly used in rural areas for suction of river mud, feces, river water, pulp and feed, and for suction of thick and turbid liquids in enterprise units, as well as flowing sludge in urban river channels. Its head is generally below 10 meters, and the motor power is generally below 22 kW.

Slurry pump

Single stage centrifugal pump structure (usually horizontal). It can pump solid particles with abrasive properties into water, with a low head, usually only 30-60 meters, and a flow rate of hundreds of cubic meters per hour. It is currently the best water pump for sand removal, with a power of tens to hundreds of kilowatts. Its flow components are made of high chromium alloy gold materials, and some models have rubber lining on the inner wall and impeller, making the slurry pump expensive.

Grouting pump (also called mud pump)

Belongs to the plunger pump in volumetric pumps. Mainly used in industries such as ceramics, mining, chemicals, textiles, printing and dyeing, as pressure conveying equipment for viscous slurries and sludge dewatering. Its working pressure is relatively high (usually 1-3 Mpa), and the flow rate is very small (usually only 0.32-10 cubic meters/hour).

sand pump

Like the slurry pump, the single-stage horizontal centrifugal pump structure is often used for sand extraction in rivers, so some people call it a sand extraction pump. In recent years, due to the flood of sand extraction and the booming market, many manufacturers are fishing in troubled waters, and the impurity pump itself does not have mature technical standards. Therefore, various sand (sand) pumps have emerged in the market. In fact, some products quickly wear out and scrap during the sand extraction process, and cannot meet the requirements of sand extraction at all. This type of pump generally has a head of less than 10 meters and a flow rate of several hundred cubic meters per hour.

Submerged slurry pump

Belongs to the plunger pump in volumetric pumps. Mainly used in industries such as ceramics, mining, chemicals, textiles, printing and dyeing, as pressure conveying equipment for viscous slurries and sludge dewatering. Its working pressure is relatively high (usually 1-3 Mpa), and the flow rate is very small (usually only 0.32-10 cubic meters/hour).

Mining vertical pump

Mining vertical pump - the fourth generation sand discharge submersible pump, can be used as a submersible pump, a vertical pump, or a suspended pump. Drainage under conditions rich in sediment has a lifespan 5-8 times that of ordinary submersible pumps. It is currently the most advanced "amphibious sand pump" that allows for dry start, water interruption and idle operation, dual-use of water and land, full head use, small volume and light weight, and some products can be used in series.
