Why does the slurry pump leak at the packing?
1) The shaft and the adder box are not centered on the same axis. The main reason is large processing error and incorrect installation.
2) Foundation settlement or deformation: the foundation of the pump and motor may be settled or deformed after long-term operation, resulting in axis shift.
3) Pipe stress: If the pipe connecting the pump is not installed properly, it will generate stress transfer to the pump body, resulting in axial change.
4) Seal water ring is badly worn. It is necessary to replace the water ring with a new one.
5) Seal water pipe is clogged, sealing water can not enter the middle of the packing causing fast wear of the packing, resulting in leakage.
The clogged water pipe should be unblocked to keep the sealing water clean.
